Vienna, Austria – September 6–11, 2026 — Aceso Therapeutics is presenting new research at the 38th European Peptide Symposium, highlighting promising advances in peptide-based approaches to address key challenges in cystic fibrosis (CF).
Prisca Boisguerin, PhD, CTO and co-founder of Aceso Therapeutics, is presenting research focused on the development of innovative peptides designed to improve CFTR function and complement Aceso’s lead RNA therapeutic program, ACT-101.
The results presented demonstrate two important advances:
Enhanced ACT-101 delivery: a new cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) vector significantly improves the efficiency of ACT-101, supporting the development of more effective pulmonary delivery approaches.
Improved CFTR protein stability: a novel therapeutic peptide increases the stability and half-life of mutated CFTR protein at the apical membrane. In F508del patient-derived CF epithelial models, this translated into an improvement in CFTR functional activity in vitro.
Together, these results strengthen Aceso’s differentiated approach to restoring and enhancing CFTR function at complementary levels.
The peptide program could potentially provide an additional therapeutic strategy in combination with existing or next-generation CFTR modulators, and potentially with ACT-101, creating opportunities to further increase functional CFTR activity in patients who remain insufficiently addressed by current treatments.
“These results are particularly encouraging as they demonstrate the potential of combining complementary approaches to restore CFTR expression and improve the stability and function of the CFTR protein,” said Prisca Boisguerin, PhD, CTO and co-founder of Aceso Therapeutics.
